Bravo! A 21st Century Renaissance, will take place on Thursday, June 16, 2022, outdoors and under the tent at the scenic Farmington Polo Club. We hope you will join us on this important evening as we celebrate our first in-person Gala since 2019.

Bravo! is an essential fundraiser which funds the HSO’s important work in our shared community. The celebration this year will be especially meaningful as we honor Rebecca Corbin Loree and James Loree for their many contributions to the Hartford Symphony over the years.

There are many ways to participate, from tickets and sponsorships to Funding the Inspiration! For more information, please contact Eric Hutchinson at (860) 760-7329 or ehutchinson@hartfordsymphony.org

    • About our Honorees

JIM AND REBECCA LOREE believe in the potential of education and community to lift lives and further opportunities. Their JIM & REBECCA LOREE FOUNDATION aims to foster stronger communities by identifying educational programs that provide measurable improvement in the lives of underserved children.  With Jim as CEO of one of FORTUNE’S World’s Most Admired Companies headquartered in Connecticut and Rebecca as Founder & CEO of a thriving professional services business advising CEOs globally – all while raising four young women – they are an inspiration to each other and to all in the community whose lives they touch.

REBECCA CORBIN LOREE is an entrepreneur, thought leader, author and Founder & CEO of Corbin Advisors, a strategic consultancy accelerating value realization globally.  She is a trusted advisor and partner to boards and executives across sectors and industries who seek her research-based insights and counsel. Rebecca believes in giving back. In 2020, she created Corbin for Nonprofits and committed to donating 20% of its annual operating profits to nonprofit organizations.  Rebecca recently received the Hartford Business Journal’s Annual Women in Business Award for Connecticut-based female leaders who have mastered their industry and are admired by their community. Rebecca is deeply engaged in the community. She serves on the boards of Washington College and The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts and is a past director of The Hartford Symphony Orchestra and Chair of the “Music Builds Community” campaign that raised $10 million, ensuring the HSO’s role in the Greater Hartford region.

JIM LOREE is CEO of Stanley Black & Decker, a leading $15.6 billion global diversified industrial with more than 60,000 employees across 60 countries who make the tools, products and solutions to deliver on the company’s Purpose, For Those Who Make The World.  Jim joined the company, then Stanley Works, as CFO in 1999 when the company generated just over $2 billion in revenue. In that role, he led a massive restructuring of its business and re-architecting of its portfolio. Since that time, the company has achieved significant growth to stand at more than 7x revenue today.  Jim was recently honored with the Hartford Business Journal’s 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award for his lasting impact on Stanley Black & Decker’s growth and culture and commitment to the community.  In Connecticut, Jim works with the Business-Higher Education Forum and with Governor Ned Lamont’s Workforce Council. He sits on the Board of Advance CT, is a member of UConn’s President’s Advisory Council, and serves on the advisory council of the Boys & Girls Club of Hartford.

Jim, Rebecca and their girls reside in Farmington, Connecticut, where they love to spend time together as a family.

THE JIM & REBECCA LOREE FOUNDATION is proud to support The Hartford Symphony Orchestra’s mission to enrich lives and community through great music.
