Under the direction of music director Carolyn Kuan, the HSO performs Beethoven’s groundbreaking third symphony (the “Eroica”), a piece that revolutionized symphonic music with its unprecedented scale and emotional depth. Paired with selections from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and Piazzolla’s Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas, this concert is a vivid exploration of seasonal contrasts. Special guest Julien Labro joins the HSO on the bandoneon, showcasing his unique arrangements that alternate between Vivaldi and Piazzola’s interpretations of the seasons, highlighting the beauty of both worlds in a fresh and exciting way.
