To be inspired.

This year’s Festival Concert brings the Hartford Symphony back to Trinity College, Carolyn Kuan conducting, to perform again with internationally renowned concert organist, Christopher Houlihan.

Our season will start in a perhaps unexpected way. We have never featured Prokofiev’s Peter and The Wolf and the Prokofiev No. 5 in the same concert. These two pieces, plus the Classical Symphony are probably the three most beloved and well-known pieces by Prokofiev, yet one rarely will find Peter and the Wolf on a major concert, but why not?! It’s a piece people love. We hope it brings back warm memories.
October 18-20, 2024
We continue our celebration of HSO musicians in our second concert of the season, this time celebrating Concertmaster Leonid Sigal’s twentieth year with the HSO. In this special concert, Lenny will both play and conduct the famous Beethoven violin concerto and conduct the remainder of the program.
We are dedicated to the thoughtful SHARING of BEAUTY, to the belief that the collective experience of live music lifts the spirit with a sense of awe & WONDER, and that the COMMUNITY formed in these gatherings is bonded by a universal language and a contract of unspoken values that continues to grow beyond one experience. Because it’s music—after all.
