About
Experience the extraordinary sounds of chamber music in the beautiful and vibrant setting of the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, under the artistic direction of HSO Concertmaster Leonid Sigal and featuring Hartford Symphony Orchestra musicians. Concerts are presented in collaboration with the Wadsworth Atheneum’s special exhibitions and permanent collections.
Musicians from the Hartford Symphony Orchestra perform a concert of chamber works inspired by the collection of artworks on loan from the Museo de Arte de Ponce in Puerto Rico. With works by Brahms, Philip Glass, and Rimsky Korsakov, this program mirrors the remarkable breadth of the Museo de Arte de Ponce collection. Listeners are invited to experience the same spirit of exploration found throughout the exhibition—discovering how music, like great works of art, transcends borders and generations to connect us through our shared humanity.
