About

In celebration of America’s 250th in our state capital, the HSO is partnering with Hartford Bonanza to bring a FREE community concert to Bushnell Park as part of the citywide Long Weekend celebration! Under the direction of Music Director Carolyn Kuan, this concert features the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Hartford Chorale, and special guests to be announced performing beloved patriotic symphonic classics, fan favorites across musical genres such as funk, rock, gospel, and early hip hop, and the Bonanza Jam to welcome the Independence Day fireworks at 9:30 PM!
 
In addition to this headlining concert, Hartford Bonanza 2026 + America 250 Capital Commemoration, a FREE community festival with music, art, history, a Civic Marketplace, food trucks, and Connecticut’s largest fireworks display, features a full day of arts & cultural programming on two stages from noon until 10 pm. Hartford Bonanza is an annual summer festival independently produced by First Night Hartford, Inc.
