About
Experience the extraordinary sounds of chamber music in the beautiful and vibrant setting of the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, under the artistic direction of HSO Concertmaster Leonid Sigal and featuring Hartford Symphony Orchestra musicians. Concerts are presented in collaboration with the Wadsworth Atheneum’s special exhibitions and permanent collections.
Musicians from the Hartford Symphony Orchestra perform a concert of chamber works inspired by TaxileDoat- one of the leading French ceramicists active at the turn of the century. A French Tapestryexplores the artistry and innovation that defined France across three centuries. From the refined elegance of Couperin to the lush Romanticism of Chausson and the sparkling modernism of Poulenc, the program reflects the same spirit of experimentation that made Doat one of the most influential ceramicists of his time.
