Reid Harman is a bass trombonist currently based in New York City. Originally from Chicago, IL, Reid began his musical journey in the fourth grade playing euphonium, switching to trombone during his sophomore year of high school. He earned his B.M. in 2023 from Northwestern University and is currently working towards earning his M.M. at the Juilliard School, expecting to graduate in 2025. Reid has appeared as a soloist with the National Repertory Orchestra and the Brevard Music Center Orchestra, and has performed with the New World Symphony and the Juilliard Trombone Choir. An avid chamber music enthusiast, he can often be seen performing with his brass quintet, Metropolis Brass. Reid’s primary teachers include Blair Bollinger, Michael Mulcahy, Randy Hawes, Christopher Davis, Doug Wright, and Tim Higgins. Outside of music, Reid loves to play board games and is always on the lookout for good books.
