A member of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra since 1989, Mark Zechel received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his Masters of Music degree from the State university of New York at Stony Brook.  He has played with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.  He lives in Hartford with his wife, HSO violinist Candace Lammers.
