Curt Blood is a graduate of New England Conservatory.  He has been an active teacher and performer in the northeast since 1982, and has performed with many of the area’s finest ensembles. Mr. Blood has held the principal clarinet chair in the Hartford Symphony Orchestra (HSO) since 1982. With the HSO, he has performed at New York’s Carnegie Hall and Boston’s Symphony Hall. He has toured internationally, performing at the International Music Festival at Santander, Spain. He also serves as principal clarinetist with Buzzards Bay Musicfest in Marion, Massachusetts. Mr. Blood holds teaching positions at the University of Connecticut in Storrs and The Hartt School of the University of Hartford.  His past students have performed with ensembles around the country including the United States Coast Guard Band, the Albany Symphony, Glimmerglass Opera, and the Minnesota Orchestra.
