Benjamin Kremer

 

Violinist Benjamin Kremer, a native of Charleston, South Carolina, began playing with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra in the 2024-2025 season. He began his violin studies at a young age and is currently pursuing his master’s degree at the Y ale School of Music as a student of Tai Murray. When back home, he enjoys making music with his musical family and regularly performs with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. Prior to moving to Connecticut, Ben was based in South Florida where he earned his bachelor’s degree at the Lynn Conservatory of Music studying under Elmar Oliveira. While in Florida, he played with the Palm Beach Symphony and Florida Grand Opera. Ben has also enjoyed various solo and chamber performance opportunities as an award winner of competitions including the John Oliveira String Competition, Mary Hilem Taylor Music Scholarship Competition, and the Lynn Conservatory of Music Chamber Music Competition.
