We are pleased to introduce Yujin Lee, the winner of the Hartford Symphony’s piano audition.
Yujin Lee, Piano
Yujin holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (2022) and an Artist Diploma (2016) in Piano Performance from The Hartt School, University of Hartford and earned both her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Piano from the College of Music at Seoul National University, Korea.
Throughout her academic journey, Yujin studied under esteemed teachers Soo-Hee Auh, Aviram Reichert, and David Westfall. Her exceptional talent has been recognized through various prestigious awards, including winning the Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford, being a finalist in the Connecticut Young Artist Competition, and winning the Paranov Concerto Competition at The Hartt School. She has also been honored as a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda National Honor Music Society.
In addition to her performance achievements, Yujin has served as a College Accompanist at The Hartt School, an Accompanist for the Connecticut Children’s Chorus, and currently holds positions as a Piano Faculty member at The Hartt Community Division and as a Staff Pianist at The Hartt School. She has also performed at notable venues such as the Hartford Music Club, Music in the Valley Series by West Avon Congregational Church, and the Chamber Music Series by First Church West Hartford.
Yujin has been a Staff Pianist at the Atlantic Music Festival, collaborating with such distinguished musicians as Steve Cohen, Leon Buyse, Michelle LaCourse, and Midori Goto, and has served as a Residence Artist at the Eastern Shore Chamber Music Festival, further solidifying her reputation as a distinguished and versatile pianist.
