Cara Cheung
A native of Hong Kong, cellist Cara Cheung has performed across Asia, Europe and North America. Her professional training began with Professor Ray Wang at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts where she was the recipient of the Hong Kong Jockey Club scholarship – a full tuition and stipend scholarship for all years of undergraduate studies. She continued her study at Shepherd School of Music at Rice University under the tutelage Brinton Smith where she received her Master’s degree.
Active as both a chamber and orchestral musician, Cara is a member of Cellistra, a Hong Kong based cello ensemble. She has also performed with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Pan Asia Orchestra and the Hyogo Performing Arts Orchestra. Cara is currently pursuing an Artist diploma at University of Hartford studying with Mihai Tetel.
