The festival commences with a dazzling tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, on June 28. Starring vocal powerhouses Capathia Jenkins and Ryan Shaw, the performance celebrates Aretha Franklin’s illustrious career with renditions of iconic hits including “Respect,” “Think,” and “A Natural Woman.” The program also features a heartfelt Salute to Ray Charles, capturing the essence of the 1960s golden age of soul music.Â

On July 5 (rain date July 6), the HSO presents its annual “Celebrate America!” concert, led by the esteemed Hartford Symphony Orchestra music director Carolyn Kuan. Experience the timeless classics of the Rolling Stones on July 12, as the Hartford Symphony brings Brent Havens arrangements of the legendary band’s greatest hits to life. With sensational performers delivering stunning renditions of Mick Jagger’s vocals, audiences will be treated to symphonic arrangements of iconic songs such as “Satisfaction,” “Paint It Black,” and “Angie.”Â
July 19, 2024: Landslide: A Tribute to the Music of Fleetwood Mac
