Tickets are required for most Hartford Symphony Orchestra performances. Box Office hours are Monday through Friday 10am to 5pm, and the box office is open for walk-in purchases at the Bushnell Performing Arts Center. * Please note that Hartfordsymphony.org, the HSO Box Office, and your HSO Ticketing Account are the only authorized sellers for Hartford Symphony Orchestra tickets.
Ticketing Policies
The Hartford Symphony Orchestra (HSO) and The Bushnell are the only authorized seller of tickets to HSO events held at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center, and other locations. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone, or in person at The Bushnell Box Office at 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT. Talcott Mountain Music Festival tickets can also be purchased in person during the duration of the festival at Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center, 22 Iron Horse Boulevard, Simsbury, CT. Please note that everyone attending an HSO performance must have a ticket, regardless of age.
The HSO accepts cash, HSO Gift Cards, Mastercard, VISA, American Express and Discover.
The Hartford Symphony Box Office, hartfordsymphony.org, and your HSO Ticketing Account are the only authorized sellers for HSO concert tickets.
If you purchase tickets from another source (Vivid Seats, Ticketsales.com, Ticketcenter.com, etc.) you risk that these tickets are fake, void, or have previously been canceled.
Ticket buyers who purchase tickets from a ticket broker or any third party should be aware that the HSO is unable to reprint, refund, replace, or exchange lost or stolen tickets and is unable to contact patrons with information regarding changes or other pertinent updates regarding the performance.
Student & Child Tickets:
Everyone who enters our performances must have a ticket. Children’s tickets and student tickets are always $10 for the Masterworks and POPS! Series (some exclusions apply). Children (age 12 and under) and full-time students with valid ID are eligible for the student rate.
To attend a performance on our main concert series as a group, schools are invited to contact the Box Office Group Sales department to secure a block of tickets.

Attendees will not receive a physical ticket to any HSO Discovery Concert, instead attendees receive a confirmation email, and event reminders prior to the performance.
Groups will be credited on FREE chaperone ticket for every 20 student tickets purchased. Reservations are $10 per student, $10 per chaperone.
TO ORDER TICKETS:
Hartford Public Schools (with Hartford Performs Voucher)
- Visit the Hartford Performs “portal” or contact the Hartford Performs coordinator to select an HSO Discovery Concert Series program.
Schools located in Greater Hartford or Statewide
- Contact Jennifer Phipps directly to reserve your seats, and you will be issued an invoice.
- Be prepared to provide the following information:
- Teacher/Coordinator contact email and phone number
- Number of students tickets requested
- Number of chaperone tickets requested
Homeschool Students & Groups
- If you are an educator or program coordinator for a homeschool group or student, and your total group size is less than 50, and would like to purchase individual tickets, please visit the following links to complete the form to reserve your seats:

The Hartford Symphony Orchestra offers discounts for many of our sponsor organizations and their employees as well as community groups.
If you have received a Discount Coupon Code, please be sure to mention the code when purchasing tickets in advance either in person at the HSO Box Office or over the phone to obtain your discount.
Discount Coupon Codes can also be used when purchasing tickets online. To use a coupon code online you will need to have an account. You can login using a pre-existing account or create a new account by clicking on the link to “My Tickets” on the HSO Home page and then clicking on the link for “Sign In” on the top right of the screen. After you have logged into your account, click on the “Promotions” tab at the top of the screen and input the code.
Please note that discount coupons can only be applied to tickets purchased in advance. Discount coupons are only applicable to full price adult tickets and cannot be combined with other offers.
Exchanges and tax deductions can only be processed or arranged before your scheduled performance. We regret that we cannot process exchanges or tax deductions after your scheduled performance.
We regret that ticket refunds are not possible.
Single-tickets may be exchanged in the same fashion as subscription tickets but are subject to a $4.00 per ticket exchange fee.
All exchanges are subject to ticket availability. Tickets can only be exchanged for concerts in the current season. For information on which concerts are eligible for exchanges, please contact HSO Ticket Services in advance of the concert you wish to exchange out of.
The HSO reserves the right to limit the number of exchanges possible into any given concert.
Exchanges are NOT available for complimentary tickets, free ticket vouchers, or ticket purchased through group sales or program specific promotions.
Gift cards can be purchased in any denomination, and do not expire. They can be used for any Hartford Symphony Orchestra concert for which our box office sells tickets. HSO gift cards can be purchased over the phone with an HSO ticket services representative and may be redeemed via phone or in person.
HSO Gift Cards are now available online.
Bushnell Gift Cards cannot be redeemed through the Hartford Symphony Orchestra Box Office. To use Bushnell Gift Cards for Hartford Symphony events, please contact the Bushnell Box Office at (860) 987-5900.
The Hartford Symphony Orchestra Gift Card is redeemable only in connection with the purchase of eligible Hartford Symphony tickets at The Bushnell Box Office, food or beverages at any Bushnell theater bar, café or the Horace Bushnell Suite, each of which is located at The Bushnell, 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106. Other restrictions apply.
Please treat this gift card as cash. Hartford Symphony Orchestra is not responsible if this gift card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without your permission. The gift card is not a credit or debit card, nor redeemable for cash. Not valid on internet purchases. All sales are final. Use of the gift card constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions
Group sales must be processed over the phone at (860)-244-2999 or via email with the group sales office. Group sales cannot be completed on the HSO website.
Adult Groups:
Groups of 10 or more adults are eligible for our special group pricing.* No other discounts can be applied with group sale tickets.
Student Groups:
Student tickets to most Hartford Symphony performances are $10. The $10 student ticket price is not available for select concerts.
Payment:
Payment for all group sales must be made in full 4 weeks prior to the concert date. Payments may be completed via check or credit card. An invoice will be sent to the school/organization. Tickets for the performance will not be printed until payment is received. Tickets for group sales can either be mailed to the organization or held at will call. Please specify your preference when paying for your tickets.
Reserving Seats:
When you call and reserve seats for your group you will be invoiced for the amount of tickets requested. However, if your numbers change, you can simply contact group sales and we will be happy to adjust your reservation and issue you an updated invoice.
Concert Cancellations:
In the event of an HSO concert cancellation or postponement, the group leader (i.e., the person who reserved the seats) will be notified via a phone call. News of a cancellation will also be on the HSO website and the box office phone message. Please contact group sales as soon as possible after a concert cancellation to reschedule your performance tickets.

If your tickets are misplaced or destroyed, please call HSO Ticket Services at 860-987-5900 and we will gladly replace them at no additional charge. If you need your tickets replaced the night of the performance, please see the HSO Representative when you arrive.
If a performance is cancelled or postponed, information will be posted on the hartfordsymphony.org and the HSO’s social media platforms. If a performance is postponed, tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date. If a performance is cancelled, patrons may exchange to another performance (subject to availability), receive tax credit or request a refund.
Ticket prices are subject to change without notice. Posted prices do not include applicable fees.
We regret that ticket refunds are not possible. Tickets may be exchanged to any other Hartford Symphony concerts during the current season.
A restoration fee and service fee are added to each ticket purchase.
Student & Child Tickets:
Everyone who enters our performances must have a ticket. Children’s tickets and student tickets are always $10 for the Masterworks and POPS Series (Excludes Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1™ in Concert, The Princess Bride in Concert, and A New World: intimate music from FINAL FANTASY). Children (age 12 and under) and full-time students with valid ID are eligible for the student rate. College students who purchase tickets via our website will have their tickets held at will call in the box office until ID is presented.* One ID per ticket needs to be presented.
Under 40 Tickets:
Adults under the age of 40 are eligible for Under 40 pricing. These tickets are only available for our Saturday night Masterworks. Under 40 tickets are $29.00 and can be purchased on our website, over the phone or in person at the HSO box office. Proof of age (such as driver’s license) must be shown either at the time of purchase or when picking tickets up at will call.* One ID per ticket needs to be presented.
Senior Rush:
Senior rush tickets for all Masterworks performances, Tales of Halloween, and Holiday Cirque! can only be purchased in person, 2.5 hours before the Hartford Symphony performances at the Bushnell. Patrons over the age of 65 may purchase senior rush tickets (subject to availability) at approximately half-price.
Military Tickets:
Discounted tickets for active and veteran military are available for $29.00 for all Masterworks performances and the POPS! performance Holiday Cirque!. Military tickets are available with presentation of a valid active military ID.* Limit 2 tickets per ID. All discounts are subject to availability.
Special discounted pricing may be limited to certain areas of the theater.
Tables for eight people are located right in front of the stage.
5-Concert Full Table Subscription: 8 seats at every concert for $1,795
5-Concert Single Seat Subscription: 1 seat at every concert for $222.50
Grass Passes may be used in any combination for any concerts in the Talcott Mountain Music Festival; attendees may bring Grass Passes straight to the gate for admission.
10-Ticket Adult Grass Pass: $250
10-Ticket Child Grass Pass: $45
Family Pass: 6 Adult and 6 Child tickets: $180
Adult Lawn Tickets: $27.50 in advance, $32.50 day of (begins at midnight on concert day)
Child Lawn tickets: $5 (12 and under)
Table Seat: $50

- Will Call tickets will be held in our name and can be picked up at the venue’s box office up to two (2) hours before the show with a photo ID.
- Mailed tickets will be sent via US Mail two (2) weeks prior to the show date. All ticket sales are final.
