Simsbury Public Library

Program

Vibrant, pop-style arrangements of hits made famous by Queen, Tina Turner, the Bee Gees, and Ben Folds, performed by a string quartet in a familiar and thoughtful setting.

About

Join the Hartford Symphony Orchestra for a musical close-up of our 2025 Talcott Mountain Music Festival. This special series of FREE library performances feature the depth and artistry of an HSO string quartet offering an unplugged take on iconic pop and rock songs that will headline our summer concerts. Bring a friend and enjoy the music that will fill your summer nights!

Then, this summer over five Fridays in July, the Hartford Symphony Orchestra returns to Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center with high-energy performances under the stars with the power of a full orchestra, vocalists, and the drive of a live band. Before the festival lights up on the mountain, we’re bringing the music to you with the expressive nuance and personal connection of these small ensemble performances!
