HSO Talcott Mountain Music Festival to Close Season with Tribute to The Rolling Stones July 26
SIMSBURY, July 12, 2013 – The Hartford Symphony Orchestra will close the 2013 Talcott Mountain Music Festival with The Rolling Stones Tribute: 50 Years of Satisfaction on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at Simsbury Meadows. Led by Guest Conductor and arranger Brent Havens and featuring lead vocalist Brody Dolyniuk, the HSO will play a program of the Rolling Stones’ biggest hits, including Satisfaction, Gimme Shelter, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, You Can’t Always Get What You Want, For The Devil, Ruby Tuesday, Paint It Black, Honkey Tonk Women, Start Me Up, Brown Sugar, Angie, and more.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio; Berklee-trained arranger/conductor Brent Havens has written music for orchestras, feature films and virtually every kind of television. His TV work includes movies for networks such as ABC, CBS and ABC Family Channel Network, commercials, sports music for networks such as ESPN and even cartoons. He has worked with some of the world’s greatest orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic in London, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Houston Symphony, the Atlanta Symphony, the Baltimore Symphony, the Dallas Symphony, the Fort Worth Symphony, the San Diego Symphony and countless others.
Brody Dolyniuk, renowned for his vocal impersonations, has been reshaping the casino entertainment scene by bringing a rock concert atmosphere to showrooms previously reserved for Top-40-style lounge acts. Along the way, Brody has made numerous radio and TV appearances, and earned a spot in the finals of two national singing competitions, and even self-produced several large rock production-style shows utilizing multimedia, lasers, comedy and special effects. In 2007, Brody lent his vocal talents by singing several tracks on the mega-hit video game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, and has already done several more for the new Konami game Rock Revolution.

Additional Information: Gates open at 6:00 p.m. for all Talcott Mountain Music Festival concerts. Patron can bring in outside food and drink to all Talcott Mountain Music Festival concerts. Open to all ticket holders, the HSO Education Tent is open from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.; families can enjoy free activities such as music-themed games and crafts, the “Instrument Zoo,” and youth performances. In the case of severe weather, this concert will be performed on Saturday, July 27 at the same time.
