Summer officially begins with Connecticut’s favorite Independence Day celebration! The Hartford Symphony Orchestra’s 2018 Talcott Mountain Music Festival begins with Celebrate America on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center in Simsbury, CT. Rain date is Saturday, June 30 at 7:30 pm. This concert will be conducted by HSO Assistant Conductor Adam Boyles. Visit hartfordsymphony.org for tickets and information.
Featuring the Asylum Hill Congregational Church Choir, the Newington Church of Christ Congregational Choir, and soprano Sonja Dutoit Tengblad, this program will include all of your patriotic favorites, plus a tribute to Leonard Bernstein. Stay for a firework show following the concert!

Additional Information: Gates open at 6 p.m. for all Talcott Mountain Music Festival concerts. Open to all ticket holders, the Family Fun Zone is open from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.; families can enjoy free activities such as music-themed games and crafts, the Instrument Petting Zoo, and youth performances. In the case of severe weather, this concert will be performed the following night (Saturday, June 30) at the same time.
