Hartford Symphony Orchestra continues HSO: Intermix series with ALLEGED DANCES on February 22 at Onyx Spirits Company
The Hartford Symphony Orchestra will present the second concert in the 2017-2018 HSO: Intermix Series, Alleged Dances, on Thursday, February 22 at 7 pm at Onyx Spirits Company in East Hartford. For tickets and information, visit hartfordsymphony.org.
HSO: Intermix is intimate, inviting, and interactive! Get up close with HSO ensembles as they perform contemporary compositions and intriguing classical pieces. Enjoy cocktails, conversation, mingling, and more.
The February program, led by HSO Music Director, Carolyn Kuan, highlights the undeniable connection between music and dance, and features an innovative mix of contemporary and classical: Aaron Jay Kernis’ 100 Greatest Dance Hits (which has been described as a “classical dance party”), John Adams’ charged John’s Book of Alleged Dances, and Tchaikovsky’s eloquent String Quartet No. 1.
