Hartford Symphony Orchestra continues 25thAnniversary Talcott Mountain Music Festival with Queens of Soul on July 9

HARTFORD, CT (June 25, 2021) – Summer continues when the 25thAnniversary Talcott Mountain Music Festival presents Queens of Soul on July 9. The concert will take place at 7:30pm at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center in Simsbury and will be led by HSO Music Director, Carolyn Kuan. Tickets are on sale at hartfordsymphony.org or by calling 860-987-5900. This concert will be held rain or shine.

This evening features fabulous vocalists including Shayna Steele, Tamika Lawrence, and Kelly Levesque singing the hits made famous by the reigning divas of soul and R&B: Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Nina Simone, Whitney Houston, Jennifer Hudson, Adele, and more!

New for 2021:Patrons are not required to wear masks, although masking and physical distancing is recommended for people who are unvaccinated, based on Centers for Disease Control guidelines. The venue will be sold at 50% capacity.
