Hartford Symphony Orchestra cancels remaining live concerts in the 2020-2021 season
New virtual concert series, including the HSO Spotlight Series and Masterworks In-Depth with Carolyn Kuan, to continue
As Connecticut faces continued uncertainty about when we will be permitted to safely gather in large numbers, the Hartford Symphony Orchestra has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the 2020-2021 Masterworks season. In addition, the April, 2021 performances of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire™ in Concert will be rescheduled to a date to be determined.
Masterworks subscribers who hold tickets to the cancelled Masterworks performances have the following options:
- Any tickets remaining in your current package may be applied to the 21-22 season
- You may donate the value of your Masterworks tickets back to the HSO as a tax-deductible gift
- You may request a refund
The HSO Box Office can be reached by sending an email to tickets@hartfordsymphony.org (preferred method) or leave a message at 860-244-2999.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire™ in Concert ticket holders will be contacted as soon as a new date is scheduled.
While the HSO is unable to have a traditional season, it is thrilled to announce its plan to continue its monthly HSO Spotlight Series, performances featuring HSO musicians recorded in unique venues in and around Hartford available on-demand for a limited time. In addition, the HSO will continue its free monthly Masterworks In-Depth with Carolyn Kuan series – a deep dive into the planned programming of this season’s Masterworks series, featuring amazing special guests. The HSO is also planning an exciting summer season of outdoor performances – with the hopeful return of the beloved Talcott Mountain Music Festival.
