Hartford Symphony Orchestra brings HSO Family Series to Connecticut Science Center on December 1
The Hartford Symphony Orchestra will bring its HSO Family Series to the Connecticut Science Center on Saturday, December 1, from 11 AM to 2 PM. Following an HSO Instrument Discovery Lab, there will be a performance by the HSO Jazz Quartet. This event is free with the cost of museum admission. Visit hartfordsymphony.org for more information.
The HSO Family Series offers immersive presentations for families that bring music into the community’s backyard. This performance allows children to listen to an exciting HSO ensemble and make some noise at our Instrument Discovery Lab! The Instrument Discovery Lab is a musical laboratory that gives children the opportunity to see, hear, touch, and play! Kids have a blast learning how playing a musical instrument is a whole-body experience, feeling each instrument’s vibrations humming differently from head to toe.
The HSO Family Series is sponsored in part by the Highland Park Families Foundation.
The 75th Anniversary Season Lead Sponsor is the Richard P. Garmany Fund at Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. The 75th Anniversary Season Supporting Sponsor is Cly-Del Manufacturing Co.
