Instrument Petting Zoo

The Instrument Petting Zoo is a musical laboratory that gives children the opportunity to see, hear, touch, and play! Kids have a blast learning how playing a musical instrument is a whole-body experience, and feeling each instrument’s vibrations humming differently from head to toe.

Instruments included: Violin, viola, cello, recorder, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, baritone horn, trombone, tuba, drums, guiro, triangle, sleigh bells, tambourine, glockenspiel, egg shakers, maracas, wood block, cowbell, spoons, claves, and tone block. Multiple violins, recorders, flutes, trumpets, trombones, and drums available to maximize student participation. Inventory subject to change.

To request the zoo, submit a Program Registration form. Please book the zoo no later than 6 weeks in advance of the event date. With questions, email the Education Coordinator, Miriam Engel, at mengel@hartfordsymphony.org.
