Savory Sounds: Strauss & Beethoven is an exploration of dining conventions ranging from the grand formality of a lavish banquet to an intimate meal. Nourish the soul with an afternoon of delectable music that excites the senses, including Beethoven’s lively Piano Trio No. 4 in B-flat, Op. 11, “Gassenhauer,” an updated take on R. Strauss’ Till Eulenspiegel Differently, for Once!, Martinu’s seductive La Revue de Cuisine, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s energetic Capriccio Espagnol.
