An HSO Musical Menu featuring more of Greater Hartford’s Restaurants
Playing With Food is back – this time, with a celebrity twist! Hartford Symphony Orchestra has cooked up a delicious event with Fabio Viviani (Fan Favorite on Bravo’s “Top Chef”), as well as chefs from m&m bistro at the Hilton Hartford, VIVO Seasonal Trattoria at the Hartford Marriott Downtown, and the Connecticut Convention Center. Maestra Carolyn Kuan has prepared a fabulous menu of music inspired by our guest chefs’ creative culinary masterpieces. During the first part of the program, Maestra Kuan will chat with the Hartford chefs about their dishes, techniques and inspirations. In the second part of the program, Chef Viviani will prepare a full course live on stage, as the HSO performs music selected by Maestra Kuan. Chef Viviani will also share stories of his upbringing in Florence, Italy, his passion for food, his experiences on “Top Chef,” and his successful career as a chef, author and restauranteur.
Some selections of music for the concert include:
Rimsky-Korsakov, Capriccio Espagnole, Mvmt. 5
John Williams, The Cowboys Overture
Rimsky-Korsakov, The Tsar’s Bride Overture
“James Bond, Themes from 007”
Leroy Anderson, Jazz Pizzicato
ET “Adventures on Earth”
