Picasso and Prokofiev takes its inspiration from the four paintings by Picasso in the collection of the Wadsworth Atheneum, representing his evolving artistic styles. Sunday Serenades chamber music concerts are presented in collaboration with the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art’s special exhibitions and permanent collections. Concerts take place in the museum galleries and feature Concertmaster Leonid Sigal and Hartford Symphony Orchestra musicians.
PreConcert Talk
Wadsworth Atheneum Curator of European Paintings and Sculpture, Oliver Tostmann, will give a brief pre-concert talk about the museum’s Picassos before the concert. The talk will begin at 1:00 p.m.in the Aetna Theater.
