It’s Hartford’s favorite holiday concert tradition! The Hartford Symphony Orchestra will combine jaw-dropping acrobatics and joyful music at Holiday Cirque Spectacular on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. in Mortensen Hall at The Bushnell in Hartford. Holiday Cirque Spectacular is part of the 2016-17 POPS! Series, sponsored by United Technologies. Concert sponsor is Prudential. For concert information and tickets, visit hartfordsymphony.org.
Conducted by HSO Music Director Carolyn Kuan, this ultimate holiday extravaganza will include such favorites as Deck the Halls, selections from The Nutcracker, Sleigh Ride, Skater’s Waltz and many more. Of course, our holiday program wouldn’t be complete without a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus!
The performers of Cirque de la Symphonie are some of the most accomplished veterans of exceptional cirque programs from across the globe. They include world record holders, gold-medal winners of international competitions, Olympians and some of the most original talent ever seen. Performers include Aloysia Gavre, Sagiv Ben Binyamin, Marcello “Marco“ Antonio Balestracci, Autumn Crockett, Sarah Sporich and Brandon Grimm.
This holiday season, The Bushnell and The Hartford Symphony Orchestra will be hosting a toy drive to benefit the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Please consider bringing a new, unwrapped toy to drop off in the boxes located throughout The Bushnell lobbies.
