Program to Feature Bolero with UConn Drumline plus works by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and West Coast DJ Mason Bates

HARTFORD – The Hartford Symphony Orchestra will close out  its triumphant 70th Anniversary Season with Bolero! this Thursday – Sunday, June 5-8, 2014 at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts. Led by Music Director Carolyn Kuan, this program will feature Ravel’s Bolero, Tchaikovsky’s Capriccio Italien, Mozart’s Concerto for Flute No. 1 in G Major featuring HSO Principal Flutist Grieg Shearer and the Hartford premiere of West Coast DJ Mason Bates’ Alternative Energy for Orchestra and Electronica.

Carolyn Kuan says, “As we reflect on this past year and close out our 70th Anniversary Season, I can’t help but feel that this concert’s program is a musical expression of everything that we value at the HSO. Ticket Information: Tickets to this concert range in price from $35.50-$67.50.
