Hilary Ledebuhr
Hilary Ledebuhr began playing with the HSO in 1996, and has served as Orchestra Committee Chair and delegate to the Regional Orchestra Players’ Association. She also works as a free-lancer, performing with many orchestra, opera, theater, and chamber groups throughout New England, including the Albany, Portland and Vermont Symphony Orchestras. She was also a member of the band with Frank Sinatra, Jr. at Mohegan Sun Casino. In 2001, with her trumpeter husband she founded a brass quintet, Brass Venture. The group performs regularly throughout New England, and annually at the Bar Harbor Music Festival.
Raised in Kenilworth, Illinois and Elmira, New York, Hilary earned her Bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College, studying with the acclaimed pedagogue, John Covert, and her Master’s degree from New England Conservatory, studying with Jonathan Menkis of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She lives outside of Boston with her husband and son, but loves the Hartford community as a second home.
