Karin Fagerburg has been a member of the HSO since 1978, and has held her current position of assistant concertmaster since 2002. She is currently on the violin and viola faculty at Central Connecticut State University and the Community Division of the Hartt School. A member of a musical family, she plays in a quartet with family members, all of whom are string players in professional orchestras. In addition to her work with the HSO, she has played with the South Dakota Symphony, Northwestern Philharmonic, Delaware Symphony, Yellow Barn Music Festival, Taos Chamber Music Festival, and Hop River Music Festival.
