Currently piccoloist and flutist with the Hartford Symphony, Jeanne Wilson has also performed with the New York Philharmonic, New Jersey Symphony, Brooklyn Philharmonic, New York City Ballet, New York Pops, Bronx Arts Ensemble, New Haven Symphony, and the Radio City Music Hall Orchestra. She has also played in many productions on Broadway including Cinderella, Shrek, Beauty and the Beast, Aida and Jesus Christ Superstar, and toured with Philip Glass in the European production of his opera La Belle et la Bête. She toured nationally several times with Andrea Bocelli and the World Festival Orchestra.

Previously Ms. Wilson was solo piccoloist with the Westchester Symphony, the Connecticut Orchestra, and the Goldman Memorial Band. As principal flutist of the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, she has recorded several CDs on the Newport Classic label.  In addition, she has recorded on the SONY label as a member of the Satori Wind Quintet.  The quintet made their New York debut at Carnegie Recital Hall as winners of the Artists’ International Competition, and has been on the rosters of Young Audiences of New York and New Jersey. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Ms. Wilson received a Masters degree in Flute Performance from SUNY at Stony Brook, where she was Samuel Baron’s teaching assistant. Her other teachers include Thomas Nyfenger, Michael Parloff, Geralyn Coticone and Keith Underwood. She has been granted fellowships to festivals including Waterloo, Yale at Norfolk, Grand Teton, New College at Sarasota, and has presented masterclasses/recitals at UMASS and the University of New Hampshire.

A frequent recitalist in and around the New York Metropolitan area, Jeanne is on the faculties of New Jersey City University and the Horace Mann School and taught in the Juilliard School Music Advancement Program from 2004–2009. She has been a board member and Recording Secretary of the New York Flute Club since 2005 and was co-chair of the New York Flute Fair in 2010.

Born in Hartford, Jeanne now lives in Riverdale, New York, with her husband, multi-woodwind instrumentalist Ed Joffe. They enjoy spending time at their second home in Scottsdale, Arizona.
